5:15pm – 6:45pm

The coding and robotics revolution is everywhere. Robots are changing job markets. They are reshaping the world around us. It is never too early to get your kids started. In Robotics for Kids program, kids will learn how to make their own robots. Not only will this course introduce them to robotics in a fun, easy way, it will prepare them for more advanced robotics programs that involve coding using languages such as, C++ and Java. In this program, your child will learn how to do the following:

  • Assemble a car robot
  • Program the robot using mBlock (Scratch 2.0 based program)
  • Program the robot using Arduino 2.0
  • Be able to make the robot:
    • Follow a track by itself using sensors
    • Play sounds or songs
    • Make LED lights light up in a pattern
    • Stop, turn, and drive when in front of object using sensors
Robotics for kids will run once a week at MCC. Kids need to bring their laptop with them.
