Mississauga Code Club offers a variety of robotics programs targeting kids 8 -12 and youth 12 -18. The robotics programs begin by introducing kids to coding and robotics by using Scratch and mblock. Then, they continue to progress in their learning to build electric circuits and complete robotic project in advanced stages by Arduino board. Throughout the program, learners use a variety of robotics kits and devices including Arduino, Circuit Playground, and Mblock. This approach enhances learning flexibility and the ability to work with different platforms, and insure that coding and robotics learning which forms the heart of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education is accessible to most kids and youth in our community.

Join Robotics with Arduino classes where we start off by teaching the basics of small circuits. As you continue through our courses, you will build your way up to engineering your own hand-built self-driving car, or other robotic project of your interest!
By joining this course, you will not only understand the logic behind these intelligent engineering systems, but the course will also open your imagination to a whole new world of engineering, programming, and artificial intelligence.
In this course, youth will take the skills acquired from Introduction to robotics to new levels. They will use complex sensors like capacitive touch , gyroscope and accelerometer to create projects like a fruit piano,a prototype of touch activated home lighting system.
As part of this course, youth will enhance their creativity by working on a final project using components that were introduced in this course. The purpose of these final physical computing projects is to offer youth practical opportunities to demonstrate self-expression, and creative problem solving. More precisely, they course will help youth acquire skills to build robotic projects like barrier avoiding robots, robots that can pick objects up and place them in a container, and with enough practice and determination youth will be able to build a drone of their own invention.
